L'ANCRESSE team captain Steve Mahy believes they can claim the club's first ever Hampshire Sevens title.
The semi-finals and final are being played at Rowlands Castle on Sunday.
Mahy (pictured) and five of his side were in the Guernsey team that defeated Jersey by a single point earlier this month.
'We're all confident, especially after the Muratti,' said the 37-year-old.
'They just want to carry on from that. If we can come back with the trophy, it will be a great feeling and it would be L'Ancresse's first time.
'That would be a massive achievement.'
The other island players in the line-up are Jamie and Danny Blondel, Andy Eggo and Danny Bisson. Colin Bourgaize and Jack Mitchell make up the rest of the team.
George Melhuish is reserve.
