THE Alderney Gambling Control Commission debuted its new exhibitions stand at the recent European Interactive Gaming Congress and Expo.
The stand is used exclusively by the States of Alderney and members of Team Alderney, a marketing alliance established to promote the island as a leading e-gambling licensing and regulating jurisdiction.
Held in Copenhagen, the EIG is one of the largest events of its type and attracts more than 1,500 delegates each year from all sectors of the industry including gaming operators, software suppliers and numerous support services such as banks and payment processors.
Run over three days, the event brought together most of the leading experts in the field and was where Alderney launched its new regulatory regime to the mass market.
'While I travel to many events throughout the year in a similar fashion to GuernseyFinance, as a team we tend to focus on two major events during the year - the EIG in Copenhagen and the Interactive Casino Exhibition in London in January,' said Robin Le Prevost, head of e-commerce development for the States of Alderney.
'These give us a wonderful opportunity to meet established operators as well as those new to the industry.'
He said this year had been particularly important for the AGCC as it had celebrated its 10th anniversary and had taken the opportunity to revamp and modernise its regulatory framework.
