INVESTEC Colombians had to pull out all the stops to get the better of Deloitte Elizabeth College First XI at the weekend to jump to the top of Division One.
The team who many are tipping to be this year's champions came away with a 5-3 win thanks to a hat-trick from attacker TJ Ozanne and two goals from captain Matt Watson.
But Watson was full of praise for the opposition, who were inspired by their junior England star, Adam Clark, and captain Tim Ravenscroft.
'The College were very impressive and as the season progresses they will be a very difficult team to beat,' said Watson.
'I wouldn't be surprised if they finish near the top of the league.
'Fortunately for us, we produced our best performance of the season so far and we needed it.
'We have one of the best strikers in the island in TJ and when he's in that kind of mood, he's very difficult to keep quiet.'
Colombians now have seven points from three games and are two points ahead of Yobbos, who have played four times so far this season.
