They took on the Nerine team made up of young and old mixed together and although Nerine held their opponents for the first half, the extra height and experience started to show and Magnificent 7 ran out winners 34-17.
Specialists' meeting with Autumn Gold had the making of a close match, and so it proved.
Paula Le Poidevin, who scored the first goal, combined well with centre Leigh Le Page and they were influential in keeping the Specialists centre court flowing.
Autumn Gold struggled to find each other and as passes went astray, Specialists sent the ball to the shooters, who had mixed fortunes in scoring.
At half-time, the score was 16-10 to Autumn Gold.
Specialists never gave up trying and are to be applauded for their continued effort in all parts of the court, but Autumn Gold seemed to start to perform as a team and Julie Fallaize did not miss her attempts at goal.
