Panthers needed either to win or to lose by less than 10 to make sure they went through.

The first quarter started off well for Thundercats with goal shooter Shelley Jager posting 100% in this quarter and the centre court and defence overwhelming their Panthers opponents.

They went into the break 14-9 up.

The second quarter saw a change in positions for Panthers with Denise Bourgaize moving from goal shooter to goal attack in a switch with young Sam Martin.

This was to pay dividends for Panthers as she unsettled Thundercats' centre court play and they started to bring back the lead.

Martin shot some superb goals while Panthers scored three on the bounce.
