POLICE are today investigating an incident in which a man was hit on the head by a brick thrown through his front window.

Alan Peskey, 56 (pictured), was watching television in the front room of his Couture Close house where he lives with his 83-year-old father, Leslie, when he heard a loud bang and was then covered in shards of glass.

'It gave me a big shock – I was just sitting there, concentrating on the television, and there was this big bang,' he said.

'It's a good job I have good neighbours who helped me clear it up because there was so much glass.'

He was not injured.

The attack was not the first of its kind.

A police spokesman said investigations were ongoing.
