Home at last after three days stuck in Manchester

FRUSTRATED passengers stranded in Manchester for up to three days finally arrived home yesterday.

The Aurigny flight touched down at about 3pm.

Some felt more could have been done to help them and get flights moving.

Rebecca Hart and children Kirsty, 10, and Evie, 6, were returning from a Christmas trip to visit family in Edinburgh.

'It ended up costing us £100 in taxi fares. She said Aurigny had paid the bill for the last night's stay.

'It was very frustrating as we were hearing that our flights had been cancelled from people in Guernsey.'
