The format of the competition sees the top 16 schools from England qualify to compete at the finals, which this year were held in Coventry's 50m Olympic-sized pool.
There are two heats with eight schools in each, with the quickest eight then swimming again in the final.
Guernsey had Elizabeth College's intermediate and senior teams competing in both the medley and freestyle events for their age group, while the Grammar School junior boys team had made the top 16 of the freestyle event.
The EC seniors were the first Sarnians into action in the medley in which Stewart Hume gave them a solid backstroke start before Joshua Lewis took them into the top three of their heat with an excellent breaststroke leg.
