THE 2010 season is set to be the busiest yet for Guernsey's young cricketers.

There will be no fewer than 60 competitive fixtures for the Pricewaterhouse

Coopers representative squads from under-10s to U-19s.

'The Guernsey Cricket Board are committed to providing a full and varied fixture programme for our young cricketers to aid their development,' said the island's cricket development manager, Jason Shambrook.

'Getting off-island is essential and shows the players where they need to be compared to their UK counterparts.'

The U-11s will play in a development competition alongside teams from a number of southern UK counties both home and away.

The U-12s are attending the Bryanston Festival in Dorset competing against Jersey, Dorset and Wiltshire.

Meanwhile the U-13 age group have a tough festival in Sussex as they meet Jersey, Holland, Dorset, Denmark and Sussex.
