Mavs kept up their unbeaten run when they got the better of second-placed Indies 5-3.

'It's absolutely great to win the title with games to spare, but our goal now is to go all season undefeated and hopefully progress through to the cup final and win that as well,' said Mavs captain Chris de Putron.

The 'all blacks' dominated the proceedings from the outset and their early pressure paid off with two goals midway through the first half from Lorrenzo Crispini and the league's current top scorer, Simon Brown.

Their dominance continued into the second half with Marc Griffiths, de Putron and Tom Swain adding three more goals.
