Twelve months ago the Greens were flying high.
After a fine run they had reached the semi-finals of the HA Trophy and they went on to win the national competition for the first time in their history.
But before their momentous victory over Henley in the final at Old Loughtonians' ground, Essex, in April, Guernsey had the 'small' matter of Jersey in the inter-insular.
Jersey had been knocked out early in HA Trophy and the feeling was that they were going to be no match for the Sarnians.
But in front of a highly charged home crowd at Foote's Lane, Guernsey went down 5-2.
Complacency was the killer.
According to Guernsey's player-coach Andy Whalley (pictured), that is not going to happen in this year's big match in Jersey today.
