The Sportingbet Guernsey I side battled relegation at the Cippenham Table Tennis Club in Slough to ensure that their status in Division 1 South & Midlands is preserved for next season.

The team consisting of Garry Dodd, Olly Langlois, Adam Langlois and Paul Hainsworth managed to achieve their goal by securing points in their draws with Fusion II and Cippenham II.

The opening encounter on the Saturday morning resulted in a 6-2 defeat at the hands of Mossford I, a team who finished third in the division.

The highlights from a Guernsey perspective included Dodd's victory over Didier Ngoma and Olly Langlois' victory over Keith Lesser.

Dodd also put up an excellent fight against the then undefeated Scot Euan Liddle, whose current ETTA rating would place him in the top 50 senior men in England.
