TERRY MUMBY has been showing his niece around the island so his long-lost father can see pictures of Guernsey.
The pair spoke to the Guernsey Press yesterday after signing a deal to sell their story to a UK magazine.
Mr Mumby, 72, was reunited with his father, George, 98, after his niece, Sophie Mumby, 23, contacted him through Facebook.
He discovered he also had two sisters – Georgina, 60, and Maribel, 49 – and a 63-year-old brother, Clifford.
Sophie arrived from Norfolk last week to stay with Mr Mumby and has since had a tour of the island.
Although Mr Mumby has visited Sophie's family three times already, it is the first time she has seen Guernsey.
Together, they have taken pictures of spots his father remembers and have visited the Sohier Road, Vale, house he lived in and L'Ancresse beach.
