TWO of the island's best young boxers are taking part in tonight's ABA Western Counties Junior Championships.

Adam Baker and Gage Demore (pictured) are both fighting at the Broadplain Amateur Boxing Club, Bristol, in a bid to become the area champions.

Baker is competing in the Class Six 60-63kg category for competitors born in 1992, while Demore, who was born in 1993, is in the Class Five 57-60kgs contest.

Baker is meeting Ben Owen from the Bideford ABC while the highly rated Demore is taking on Sturminster's Claude de Lange.

If the pair are successful, they will be off to the national quarter-finals in Sheffield in a couple of weeks' time.
