Le Mont Saint could get its mill back
GUERNSEY could soon have a working windmill if the owners of a St Saviour's property get planning permission.

GUERNSEY could soon have a working windmill if the owners of a St Saviour's property get planning permission.
Ian and Christine McKellar have applied to the Environment Department to restore a former cement mill in the grounds of their property, Le Mont Saint.
The couple moved to the house three years ago and were keen to restore the mill to its former glory.
'I'm doing to for my grandchildren, really. They are already saying, "grandad, when you've done it can we stay in it?",' said Mr McKellar.
Thought to date from the late 19th century, it was one of three cement mills on the island and is believed to be the only one remaining.
