Scott gives Ponte scare
AIMEE PONTE had to overcome a terrific fightback last evening to book her spot in today's Intertrust Island Women's Championship semi-finals.

The young reigning champion – she is just 14 – looked to be cruising at five up through 12 at La Grande Mare against Rosie Scott, but that lead was to be slashed within the space of about half-an-hour.
Scott, with nothing to lose and the pressure virtually off, proceeded to win the next four holes and was suddenly just one down as the players walked to the 17th tee.
The challenger played some excellent stuff during that run, nothing better than her brilliant birdie on 15 which she rolled in from 10ft to put the onus on Ponte, who was a couple of feet inside her, in true matchplay tradition.
