Chalmers storms to win over 25-mile time trial

GRANT CHALMERS produced a storming ride to take victory in the Guernsey Velo Club's 25-mile time trial.
Roadworks on L'Eree hill resulted in a change of course for the event.
The west coast course was the chosen course with riders starting at Cobo and travelling up and down the west coast.
Veteran Chalmers (pictured) was in terrific form, clocking a time of 56min. 57sec., finishing over two minutes ahead of his closest rival, Tony Bleasdale, who finished in 58-49.
Rob Smart took third place in a time of 1-00-28, two seconds ahead of Neil Ridley, who was just 10 seconds ahead of Paul O'Reilly.
