We've made it to Paris.

Bit of a surprise really considering the night we had.

You could say that things got going outside the Hotel Novotel Rouen.

The Bubblegum Bangers let their hair down with some fire juggling, bag pipe playing and naked trolley racing around the car park.

It was wrapped up at about 4am when someone decided to tee off with a three wood at the top of the car park and people had to duck behind cars as golf balls slammed into side panels.

Cars were cling filmed and our little Mazda Mx5 was also moved into an impossibly tight spot between a tree and a hedge.

In all, it was a cracking night and a splendid way for Manno to see in his birthday.

That's right, it's Nick Mann's 30th today but we're hoping not to get as lubricated tonight as we've got to be on the road by 7am at the latest tomorrow to head down to St Malo for an 11am check in for the boat back.

It's going to be difficult though as we've got the end of rally party tonight at the swanky Chez Francoise Restaurant near the Eiffel Tower.

Needless to say, we were late on parade this morning.

We got going at midday for our first port of call, the Palace of Versailles.

This was very nice.

Although the security were not too impressed with some of our party's fancy dress and promptly threw out Team Asterix and Dumb and Dumber in their doggy outfits just after they had had their picture taken with a group of Japanese tourists.

The next stop was the Arc de Triomphe.

Not wanting to break tradition, Manno and myself turned up late and missed the Bubblegum Bangers convoy round the national monument.

Apparently we didn't miss much as the cars were ordered away by the French police after just two laps.

Final day tomorrow…
