VALE REC have made their first signing under new coach Carl Le Tissier by bringing in Bavaria Nomads' Damien Larkin.

Larkin played in Alderney's semi-final Muratti defeat to Jersey earlier in the year and greatly impressed the then Vale Rec manager, Phil Corbet.

His arrival will go some way to strengthening a Vale squad deprived of influential midfielder Mark Ramsden, who is moving to the UK, and the temporary loss of another of their talented youngsters, Rory Moriarty, who is reported to have broken an arm and leg in a work accident.

North have been crowned as youth football's fairest club, picking up the Oriana Trophy, which is a fair play award accumulating all leagues from under-18 down to the Corbet Cup.
