Lotus hit a tree

A CAR crashed into a tree in Les Rouvets, Vale, at about 5.30pm on Saturday. The purple Lotus had to be taken away by a recovery vehicle.

The Ambulance and Rescue Service attended, but nobody required treatment.

The Fire and Rescue Service was also called to help recover the vehicle and make the area safe.

A 39-year-old local man has been charged with drink-driving and is due to appear in court today.
