Pub and restaurant chain boss could win top IoD award

THE boss of the Liberation Group has made the shortlist for one of the top accolades at the Institute of Directors' Director of the Year Awards.

THE boss of the Liberation Group has made the shortlist for one of the top accolades at the Institute of Directors' Director of the Year Awards.

Chief executive Mark Crowther, pictured, is one of six people in contention to win the director of the year category for large companies at the October ceremony in London, which will be hosted by former politician turned broadcaster Michael Portillo.

Mr Crowther, who heads the Channel Islands' pub, restaurant and drinks business, said it was a great honour to be shortlisted after winning the established director award at the recent Jersey IoD awards ceremony.

'I was absolutely delighted to be put forward for the award and to make the national finals.'
