Merriens breeze into the semis

REIGNING champions Ali and Ian Merrien are through to the semi-finals of the Nicolle Mixed Pairs.

The quarter-finals of the popular competition were played at Delancey Park and the husband-and-wife duo progressed thanks to a 27-9 win over Joanne Hardill and Martin Dorey.
