L'ESCALIER restaurant is closing for two months because of tough trading times, but chef Dean Hodkinson promises it will be re-launched in an exciting new format.

L'ESCALIER restaurant is closing for two months because of tough trading times, but chef Dean Hodkinson promises it will be re-launched in an exciting new format.
He said that after eight years in business, during which time he became a father, made television programmes, launched an outside-catering business and expanded with a cliff-top cafe, it was time to take a break and have a rethink.
'It is sad that we are having to do this but I am quite excited about it,' he said.
