RESEARCH into the pay of local men and women is to be carried out by the Guernsey branch of the Chartered Management Institute.

Branch chairwoman Susie Andrade (pictured) said the study would be conducted in light of the UK Government's Equality Act, due to come into force this October, and will be used to compare the findings of recent UK research by the CMI and XpertHR that showed UK businesses were still more than five decades away from paying male and females the same.
