McGuigan faces up to 'Glamour Boy'

BRADLEY WATSON stands in good stead to climb the professional ladder if he takes on board the advice given to him by a British legend of the ring.

Guernsey's 'Glamour Boy' met up with Barry McGuigan when the latter was in the island last week to support the Wooden Spoon Charity and he described the former pro as a 'nice guy with sound advice'.

The former world featherweight champion even proposed an offer to Watson to visit his gym in the UK and spar with some of his youngsters.

'I actually met him once last year when he was over. He wished me all the best then and gave me some good fitness tips,' said Watson. 'This time he asked me how my training was going and gave me plenty of advice.'
