Frances and Nigel Le Marchant were refused retrospective planning permission by Environment for three sheds in a field adjoining their Torteval home.
The application was rejected on the grounds it was not in keeping with the surrounding agricultural area.
The independent appeals panel of Sheelagh Evans and Patrick Russell, chaired by William Bowen, heard the couple had not realised they needed permission to put up sheds on their land.
