IN THE 24 hours after Friday's GCA presentation night, some diehards of the local cricket scene who could not attend the function asked 'who won player of the year'?
My reply was simply, 'I'll give you one guess'. Of course, they all got it right.
Over the many years of my involvement in the sport, there has usually been some debate over who should win the accolade each year.
Yet such is the consistent excellence of the man over recent times, particularly on the international stage for his adopted island, that Jeremy Frith has become synonymous with individual awards and was the proverbial shoo-in for the 2010 prize.
