Jory snaps up chance to carry the flag

SHOOTER Peter Jory (pictured) has been selected to carry the Guernsey flag at the official opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games tomorrow.

Delhi is Jory's third Games and he will be the 11th Sarnian to have the honour of leading out the Guernsey team, something he is really looking forward to.

'It's a great privilege to be selected and lead out Guernsey onto the field,' proclaimed Jory.

'I'm excited to have the opportunity and I look forward to having all my teammates around me.'
