ISLANDERS travelling to London, France and other parts of Europe are being urged to be vigilant following updated Foreign and Commonwealth Office advice of a 'high threat' of attacks.
ISLANDERS travelling to London, France and other parts of Europe are being urged to be vigilant following updated Foreign and Commonwealth Office advice of a 'high threat' of attacks.
The UK level, set by the Home Office, remains 'severe', indicating an attack is 'highly likely'.
Yesterday, the FCO's website also stated: 'Like other large European countries, the French authorities continue to consider that there is a high threat of terrorism. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.'
This morning, Guernsey's Home minister Geoff Mahy (pictured) said he was not aware of any advice being issued to islanders at present.
