GUERNSEY'S top boxers will gain their first European experience as they travel to Poland this weekend.
The 10-strong contingent, which includes a mix of senior, junior and female boxers, will travel to Poznan alongside six boxers from Manchester, who will form the team for the match due to be held in front of more than 2,000 spectators.
A large number of the team boxed in front of a similar-sized crowd in this year's Open Air Boxing Show at the Track, but the Polish bouts will be held indoor and are likely to generate even more atmosphere.
Amalgamated Boxing Club coach Graham Guilbert explained that the event is something that has been talked about for quite some time.
