RANGERS will likely defend their Clydesdale Bank International Guernsey FA Cup with a mouth-watering first round clash against North after yesterday's draw.

That is assuming that North beat veterans' team KGV in a preliminary round that encompasses 14 of the 23 teams entering this year's competition.

Paul Ockleford's side won the trophy for the first time last season after a 2-1 final victory over Bels, with Dale Garland's stunning volley the cup winner.

But to repeat that, they will have to overcome Ross Cameron's North team, one of their closest rivals in the senior game.
