Watson into last 16

HEATHER WATSON has been seeded seven at the $50,000 ITF hard court event in Toronto.

Her reward is a match tomorrow against either Canadian Katarena Palivets or American Jan Abaza, both players ranked well below the Guernsey player.

Watson also features in the doubles where she is paired with the No. 2 singles seed, American Christina McHale, ranked 116 in the world.

The bad news for Watson is that she and McHale have drawn top seeds Klepac and Pelletier in the first round today.
