ALDERNEY says it can save Guernsey money by taking over the running of its airport.
Guernsey is currently responsible for the facility, which is on course to lose £700,000 this year - money paid by the taxpayer through the Public Services Department.
Changes could involve opening for shorter periods or increasing passenger fees.
Alderney States chief executive officer Roy Burke believes efficiency savings can be made.
Mr Burke, who took the job in April, has led talks with PSD.
