Simpson draws the 'Federer of squash'

CHRIS SIMPSON will be up against one of the legends of the game in the biggest squash tournament of them all today.

Back in September, the Guernseyman (pictured) beat American Chris Gordon to qualify for the main draw of the Saudi PSA World Open - the highlight of the squash calendar with the biggest prize fund of all-time, $327,500, on offer.

His reward is a clash with the defending champion and number three seed Amr Shabana when the tournament gets under way at Sunset Beach Resort in the Saudi Arabian city of Al-Khobar.

The Egyptian won the title in Kuwait last year, clinching his fourth world championship in seven years, becoming only the fourth person in history to claim four crowns.
