Half St Martin's pupils turn up for afternoon
JUST over half of St Martin's School pupils turned up for lessons when it reopened at 1pm yesterday.

The icy conditions around the school meant that it put back reopening while others opened at 10am.
Head teacher Cate Mason said it was up to parents to decide whether they brought their children in.
'We felt we had to show goodwill,' she said. 'The children have concerts and Christmas decoration-making and some children really look forward to doing these activities.
'We felt it was important for parents to make the judgement themselves.'
