Airlines quick to clear flight backlog
THE airport was back on track at the weekend following closures last week due to the adverse weather conditions.

It was forced to close for the whole of Thursday and Friday morning, and suffered delays and cancellations as airport staff battled the snow and airports across the UK were shut.
However, by Saturday everything was back up and running, with the airlines working vigorously to clear the backlog of passengers who had been delayed during the week.
Aurigny had managed to clear the backlog by Saturday and was running as normal.
Both Blue Islands and Flybe had almost done the same, but there were still a couple of delays due to bad weather in Southampton.
