Wasps challenge has local academy lads buzzing

GUERNSEY Colts are preparing for a David versus Goliath counter in the London South National Colts Cup this Sunday - but will still be going for the win.

In an encounter described by Guernsey Rugby Academy chairman Charles McHugh as 'the rugby equivalent of a Sunday league football club being drawn at home against Premiership Chelsea in the FA Cup,' the local under-19 side will take on London Wasps in front of the Garenne Stand with a 2pm kick off.

'There is a tremendous buzz and the players are very excited,' said McHugh.

'We're playing the youngsters of a professional club. We definitely haven't had a game of this calibre before.'
