GPA look to expand programme to eight races

JOHN RICHARDSON and Matthew Wood were the biggest winners as the Guernsey Powerboat Association rounded off its season with an awards dinner.

Richardson and Wood won two of the five races held this year, the Fermain and Havelet events, in their boat Nosferatu, picking up the Oyster Trophy and the Cougar Cup for their efforts.

While there was no overall trophy for the season, the association hopes to do that next season when more races are added to the schedule.

As for the present, awards were handed out to winners of each individual race.
