Friends drive badly-injured biker to PEH

A SERIOUSLY-INJURED motorcyclist was taken to hospital in a friend's car after crashing at Bulwer Avenue at 4pm on Saturday.

Princess Elizabeth Hospital staff contacted police when the 21-year-old's condition deteriorated and the road between the Grandes Maisons Road and Longue Hougue Lane junctions was closed, some two-and-a-half hours after the accident.

It remained shut until 9.30pm as scenes of crime officers gathered evidence in the area.

The motorcyclist was riding a blue and white Yamaha R6.
