A WHEELCHAIR-bound woman died after being hit by a car, an inquest in Alderney heard yesterday.

Millicent Williams, 74, wife of Alderney States member Colin, died on 2 December - six days after being involved in a serious road accident.

Derrick Williams identified his mother before a post mortem was carried out by Home Office pathologist Amanda Jeffrey.

Sgt Solway said: 'The cause of death has not been established at this point and further investigations are being carried out.'
