Dodd's game continues to improve as he matures
A couple of Guernsey's Commonwealth Games contingent feature prominently today as we continue our countdown to the Guernsey Press Sporting Achievement of the Year award, in conjunction with Fletcher Sports.
HIS prowess with a table tennis bat has seen Garry Dodd travel the globe representing his island in recent times.
This year was no exception with pins now firmly stuck in Delhi and Moscow on his world map, plying his trade against some of the best players around.
But he ensured he made the most of his chance to appear in front of his home crowd at Hougue du Pommier in 2010, too, as he was the star of the show on the biggest weekend in CI table tennis.
Dodd was simply faultless over the inter-insular competition, claiming six wins out of six as he was crowned CI men's individual champion and also hit the winning points in the Green Trophy as he was named man of the match.
