Nothing casual about fight back

Collins Stewart Clubhouse Casuals 3, Legis Independents 2 CLUBHOUSE Casuals came from 2-0 down to beat Independents in the round-robin stages of the men's division one cup hockey competition.

CLUBHOUSE Casuals came from 2-0 down to beat Independents in the round-robin stages of the men's division one cup hockey competition.

The earlier match between Investec Colombians and Cenkos Yobbos had been postponed due to a snow-covered pitch, but an improvement in conditions at Foote's Lane during the afternoon enabled Casuals to take on Indies.

A quick look at the league standings pointed to an Indies win, but a more in-depth assessment of the performances in recent weeks shows that the oranges have been doing just enough to secure their victories while Casuals have seen performances and results improving.

They also boasted a debut for England Mixed captain, Andy Whalley.
