Ravenscroft makes Hampshire squad

JUST a couple of months after rejoining the county, Tim Ravenscroft has been named in the Hampshire Royals squad for next month's big Caribbean T20 tournament.

The Guernsey player (pictured), who only made his senior inter-insular debut in August's victory at Grainville, is part of a youthful 15-man squad named by the 2010 Friends Provident t20 winners.

'It's really good to be going. It was a big surprise when I was told,' said Ravenscroft, who is back in the island for Christmas.

'There are 15 of us going and they have basically said there is a big possibility I will get a game, but it is more a case of me seeing what it's like and getting the experience.'
