The Sarnian girls eventually finished in 12th place in the team event, but Loveridge won singles clashes in every tie she faced, losing only two matches throughout the tournament.

Guernsey's campaign began in the group stage with 3-2 and 3-1 defeats to England and Spain respectively, Loveridge providing all three match wins.

However, the team, which also included Kate Stubbington and Elizabeth Priest, hit back to defeat Portugal B 3-1 in the final group encounter, Loveridge picking up another pair of wins to go with Stubbington's singles success.
