Le Tissier double settles superior Vale Rec

A NEW footballing year began the way 2010 left off with another senior side progressing comfortably in the Clydesdale Bank Guernsey FA Cup.

But whereas some of last month's clashes were just a tad one-sided, at least Rangers' second string gave a good account of themselves in an entertaining encounter at St Andrew's.

Rec always had enough, though, with a couple of momentary lapses making the game interesting, as well as their own mediocre finishing.

Someone who was not culpable was young Glenn Le Tissier, who gave his side a comfortable 2-0 lead within 20 minutes.
