EIGHT homes in the south of the island have been burgled in the last month, it emerged yesterday.

And police are linking those crimes to the theft of about £200 from Forest Church over the Christmas period.

All the incidents have been opportunist and police advise islanders to make sure their properties are locked and secure.

The break-ins have all taken place between Les Camps du Moulin, St Martin's, and a house near St Peter's Food Hall.
