No history, so Trust sells cafe to estate agent

THE sale of a seafront property has raised almost £700,000 for the National Trust of Guernsey.

THE sale of a seafront property has raised almost £700,000 for the National Trust of Guernsey.

The former Rowan Tree cafe, at 31-32 Glategny Esplanade, has stood empty since November 2009.

Both premises, including the flat above, were owned by the Trust.

President Martin Ozanne said they had struggled to find tenants.

Then the Trust was approached by Shields estate agency.
