Claim and counterclaim then Forest Road firms settle their differences

A HOTELIER has denied producing fictitious invoices at a sitting of the Petty Debts Court.

Carlo Stefani was speaking on behalf of SML Ltd - the trading entity of St Margaret's Lodge Hotel.

Forest Road Garage Ltd was suing SML Ltd for £3,902.85, which it said was owed for items it had received from the garage forecourt.

Mr Stefani admitted that his company owed the money but SML Ltd made a counter claim for £2,600, which it claimed were unpaid charges for FRG vehicles that had parked at the hotel.

* During an adjournment the parties reached an out of court settlement although neither party was prepared to release details.
