AFTER ST MARTIN'S had chalked up a straight 11th win in the most one-sided Priaulx Cup chase in years, caretaker Saints coach Alfie Le Page was one happy man.

For the third successive year the Saints No. 2 has filled in for a holidaying Colin Fallaize and been able to hand over afterwards with a perfect job done.

Friday night's Corbet Field plunder was Saints' third win in a week of the absent Fallaize and although Vale Rec made them work hard for the points, there never seemed any real doubt that the visitors would win, certainly when hat-trickster Marc McGrath put them 2-1 ahead on 67 minutes with the first of three second-half goals created by wing-back Chris Mauger.

Le Page, rightly, heaped praise on the often under-rated Saints No. 2.
