Sarnian women bounce back into first division

DAWN MORGAN held her nerve to clinch the vital rubber which has regained the Sportingbet Guernsey women's team place in the First Division of the British table tennis League next season.

Derek Webb, the GTTA president, was pleased to see the team of Morgan (pictured), Alice Loveridge and Kay Chivers book promotion.

'We've bounced back up after relegation,' said Webb, who added: 'It makes it all worthwhile. I am thrilled to bits with the team.'

The decisive weekend was staged over two days in Bristol where the Guernsey trio, along with several others, had it all to play for.
